"The Church and the Culture of Modernity" is a book (available through Amazon) I have recently published which aims to help the Catholic reader understand the fundamental disjuncture between the Church and what may be called the “culture of modernity”, the secularist, anti-Christian, and anti-theist culture of the west, which has its roots in the apostasy of European civilization and ultimately in the decline of medieval scholasticism. This blog exists to publicize my book and its thesis.

I live with my wife and our four children in Grand Rapids, MI. I have a Master's Degree in English LIterature from The University of Michigan at Ann Arbor (1986).
